Testing – June 2

Testing will be on Saturday, June 2nd, here at the TKD school. White to Sr. Blue Juniors at 10am. All adults and Junior brown belts and above at 11am. Please register as soon as possible (I know it’s early, but we will be gone right before). You have until Friday, June 1st to get all your stripes.
If you have all of your stripes please sign up by Wednesday May 30th. Black Belts must register by May 18th. Awards ceremony will be Wednesday June 6th at 6:30pm. Full white uniform is required for both events. Awards ceremony is pot luck style, so bring a dish to share

• Dec. 16: No Class (Holiday Party)
• Dec. 17: Regular Class
• Dec. 19-22: Modified Schedule (Toddlers – 5:30pm / Juniors 10am & 6pm /Adults 9am & 7pm) Regular Clothes allowed
• Dec. 23 & 24: No Classes
• Dec. 26-29: Modified Schedule (Toddlers – 5:30pm Juniors 10am & 6pm Adults 9am & 7pm) Regular Clothes allowed
• Jan. 2: No Classes
• Jan. 3: Regular Schedule resumes

Fall Fest

We will hold a demonstration at Lake Norman Elementary School on November 5, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. for the school’s Fall Festival.

We will meet at the taekwondo school for practice at 10 a.m. Complete white uniform is required to participate.

Halloween

We will have no adult classes on Monday, 10/31 – Halloween. Our Junior Class will be held @ 4PM – wear your costume for a spooky workout!

Please note that on Monday, October 31st we will be closed for ALL adult classes (morning and evening). We will adjust our junior schedule to ONE class for ONE hour at 4pm. Wear your costume for spooky workout fun if you want to!!

Camp

Important dates surrounding Winter Camp @ YMCA Camp Hanes

The deadline for registering for Winter Camp @ YMCA Camp Hanes is Saturday, October 29th. Camp will be held on November 11th to the 13th at YMCA Camp Hanes.

This is for orange belts and above and age 8 and above. Please ask if you have any questions about this.

Parents Night Out

Halloween Parent’s Night Out – Friday 10/28

Halloween parent’s night out/lock in is Friday, October 28th. Come to your class and stay for the lock-in!!

Registration forms are available at the school. This is for students, siblings and friends – the more the merrier!

First person is $35 with each additional friend or family member at $30.

Bring your nerf gun, ammo and eye protection for a nerf gun fight if you want to. You will also need a pillow for the pillow fight. We will have ninja training and pinata and pizza and the fun goes on and on!

Please note we will be closed for adult class that night but all other classes will be as scheduled!

Sparring Workout

New Sparring Work-Out every Sat. 11 a.m.

Mr. Tom Davis will be starting an additional class on Saturdays at 11am. This will be an all sparring workout for green belts and above for both juniors and adults. Beginning this Saturday!!

Flat Screen HDTV Give-Away

Our next giveaway is in December for a 32″ flat screen HDTV. To be eligible for the drawing you must refer someone and they must sign up between the past Award Ceremony (August 10th) and December 2nd.

2011 Winston Salem Event

September National Tournament and High Rank testing will be September 16th and 17th in Winston-Salem.

Please make plans to be there as a competitor!! This is too close to miss. Tournaments are always a lot of fun and it’s a great atmosphere to show off your skills!! Please ask any instructor or Miss Peggy for more information. Registration forms are available at the TKD school.

Please note that Friday night is high-rank (3rd degree and above) testing and high rank tournament. If you are able to attend, these events are truly amazing to watch. Our own Miss Daniels, Miss Schmidt, Mr. Henley, Mr. Tom Davis, Mr. Cameron Davis and Mr. Jesse Simmons are testing for rank!

Teens

Starting September 6, 2011, we are offering a class for teens only at 6:15pm.

If you are a teenager and you have been coming to the adult class, on Tuesday’s you are invited to come to the 6:15pm class for a teen workout with your peers! You will not be allowed in the afternoon 7pm adult class on TUESDAY’S ONLY!!

This class will be more high energy and geared towards teens specifically.
